*Sunday morning session
Sister Julie B. Beck, first counselor in the Young Women general presidency, addressed women about motherhood. Quoting Proverbs, she said women could receive a "mother heart" by living virtuous lives through the principles of the gospel.
"A woman with a mother heart has a testimony of the restored gospel," Sister Beck said. "She gains as much education as her circumstances allow."
Sister Beck said female roles did not start on earth but in the pre-earth existence. Women who are not able to have children will have the opportunity to have them later, if they keep their second estate. Children are an inheritance of the Lord and by developing a mother heart, a woman prepares for divine motherhood. She said the role of the mother is vital to her children.
"To nurture and feed them (children) physically is just as important to feed them spiritually," Sister Beck said.
