Elder Francisco J. Viñas issued a call to return to basic gospel principles in the home in order to survive a time "when the power of the evil one is upon all the face of the earth."

Some of these principles include faith, compassion, love, forgiveness and complimentary attitudes, Elder Viñas said. "These principles, once applied, will act as a light that will illuminate each member of the family."

In addition, he said holding regular family home evening and studying scriptures as a family would help increase the faith needed to solve many daily problems.

He also said many people seek complicated solutions to their problems, when often the answers can be found in their own homes. "The scriptures remind us that by small and simple things, great things are brought to pass," Elder Vinas said.
