Sister Gayle M. Clegg, second counselor in the primary general presidency, encouraged members to move forward and be finishers in their own tasks of life.

Using examples from the lives of historical and modern-day pioneers, she said they left a legacy of commitment for members to finish the work they started.

Members can learn and take inspiration from their stories, she said.

"It is not the magnitude of the response from the outside, but rather how it feels to be the one in the middle of the task," Clegg said.

The keys to moving forward are learning the value of hard work and worthy living as well as strengthening and encouraging one another. However, the greatest help, she said, is in the power and peace of the Savior.

"Still walking is the fundamental requirement of life," she said. "With the Lord nothing is impossible, but we have to finish our own stories."
