Elder David B. Haight stood and gave his now-traditional wave to the congregation. Last October, Elder Haight waved to the audience and explained his waves are not a farewell; his heart is just full of love for the work of the Lord and his people.

Elder Haight briefly bore his testimony of the gospel.

"The gospel is true," he said. "I know it. I'm a witness of it."

He asked church members to ponder the words to the hymn, "How Great the Wisdom and Love," penned by Eliza R. Snow.

Everyone on the earth was present in the courts on high described in the hymn and should never forget they chose to come here, Elder Haight said.

He also said when problems and troubles arise, saints should remember their choice and let heavenly thoughts lift them higher.
