Elder Spencer V. Jones of the Quorum of the Seventy spoke to the saints about consequence of sin.

"Sooner or later a consequence of sin will be paid," he said.

Elder Spencer said the consequence might seem subtle to us, but to Heavenly Father our sins are glaringly apparent.

"As we attempt to cover our sins the heavens draw themselves away from us," he said.

Elder Jones said each one of us has a conscience that will help us to know the good from the bad and give us courage to stand for what is right.

"If the spirit is pricking your heart to correct your soul, repent immediately," he said. "Heavenly Father wants you be part of his heavenly family."

Elder Jones said the Savior would ultimately redeem us from our sin after we do our part.

"Remove the stench of sin through the remedy of repentance," he said. "Then the Savior will wash you clean."
