Elder Henry B. Eyring encouraged members to be true disciples of Jesus Christ and to preach the Gospel.
"Those of us who are under the baptismal covenant have promised to offer the gospel to others," he said. "Sometimes fear of rejection or giving offense to others, looms before us like an impassable obstacle."
Latter-day Saints around the world are finding happiness in the Gospel and sharing it with others. They care about others and are interesting in helping others find happiness. Members share what they believe brings happiness and sadness in life. They do this because of two reasons:
1. Because they feel they are beloved children of Heavenly Father; they put their confidence in Him and obey His will.
2. They see themselves as true disciples of Jesus Christ; they have felt cleansed and have the Holy Ghost in their lives. They feel peace in their lives, and they desire the preaching of salvation to everyone. They pray always and remember the Savior. Many members ask themselves, "How can I do that? How can I be better at sharing what I feel."
"There is no single pattern in what they do," Eyring said. "There is no common technique."
Elder Eyring said members should pray to have a perfect love, because love casts out all fear. He suggests taking a Book of Mormon, setting a date to work with the missionaries or drawing out questions to ask to people they contact. Most of all, Eyring said members need to listen to the Holy Ghost so they can know what to do.
Eyring said members should not wait to feel closer to Heavenly Father, but should pray for change and for the chance to confront people who are looking for more in this life. Eyring said in time, members will feel closer to Heavenly Father and feel His approval.
"The keys of the Priesthood were restored, and the last, great gathering has begun," he said.
